The Real Housewives of Potomac were just getting their stride when one of their KEY cast members dropped a bombshell that she was leaving the show. Fan fave, Monique Samuels announced shortly after the season 5 reunion that she and her family were NOT returning to the FRANCHISE after the way she felt they were portrayed on the reunion.
Fans were SAD to see her go and RHOP went on without her not missing a beat, but fans still longed to see what became of Samuels and her family.
The FANS will be THRILLED to learn their FAVE is returning to the reality show circuit, this time heading up her OWN show (PUN intended).
Word from the curb is that Samuels and her family will head up the newest OFFSHOOT from Carlos King’s ‘Love & Marriage’ franchise with a new DMV installment. King is NO newjack to the reality tv scene, he has produced some of the most explosive seasons of RHOA and his production company Kingdom Reign has given us BET Presents the Encore, Belle Collective and of course the original Love & Marriage: Huntsville.
According to TV DEETS, OWN will launch ‘Love & Marriage: DMV’ with Monique Samuels and her husband Kevin being the center family in this latest offshoot! They will allegedly be joined by Erana and James Tyler, Tasha and Neil Lyons, and Ashley Brittney and Roberto Silva (aka DJ Quicksilva). Word from the curb is that FILMING for the inaugural season will begin in January.
Even though filming has not OFFICIALLY began, it appears that Monique has already hosted a gathering for the new cast members.
Now we all know what the Samuels ADDED to RHOP. Coupled with their appeal and LIKABILITY we are SURE this new OFFSHOOT will be a ratings SUCCESS! We can’t wait to see what her family and the others bring to the table. We can most likely expect to see them hit the small screen by late spring, early summer!
