Mary J. Blige is taking us back–back over two decades to chronicle her GROUNDBREAKING 1994 album, ‘My Life’ in an upcoming documentary.
The new project explores the “untold story” behind the groundbreaking album, along with the demons and blessings that inspired the record and earned her millions of fans worldwide. The R&B icon also celebrates the 25th anniversary by performing My Life live for the first time.
“My Life is probably my darkest album at one of the darkest times I’ve had,” Blige says in the trailer. “Most of the times I was just depressed and didn’t want to live.”
The documentary also features commentary from friends including Diddy who also executive produces the 82-minute piece, Taraji P. Henson, and Alicia Keys, while Quincy Jones serves as executive music producer.
