SOCIAL MEDIA was all abuzz when the TRACKLIST was released for the soundtrack to the upcoming movie release of ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’. The STAR-STUDDED ensemble features tracks from, Nas, H.E.R., and a COLLAB between Jay-Z & the late Nipsey Hussle!

As we WAIT for this this EPIC soundtrack to drop, King James got a first listen to the Jay-Z/Nipsey track, ‘What It Feels Like’, and has shared a bit with us before the release!

The soundtrack for the film, which was executive produced by Hit-Boy, Dash Sherrod, Ryan Coogler, and Archie Davis, also guest features Polo G, Saba, Smino, Rapsody, Pooh Shiesty, Kiana Ledé, Black Thought, Nas, Bump J, G Herbo, and others.

The soundtrack will be released on February 12th, the same day Judas and the Black Messiah is released on HBO Max.

This marks Nipsey and JAY-Z’s first collaboration on wax, but Mr. Carter has supported Hussle for some time now. In 2013, the late rapper was selling his Crenshaw CD for $100 as apart of his Proud to Pay campaign for his real supporters. The mixtape came with an autograph and a free ticket to his show.

“I got a DM on Twitter from a respected hip-hop journalist and he was just like, ‘Hov respects the move, salute,’ Nipsey Hussle told MTV in 2013. “A little while later, I got an email that came through my team that was like, ‘Roc Nation, on behalf of Jay Z wants to buy 100 units. Who do we pay? When can we get the shipment out?’”

Mutual admiration goes a LONG WAY in the industry. You never know just WHO is a FAN and that’s the part of the industry we need more of.Judas-and-the-Black-Messiah-Track-List-thegamutt
