On Wednesday, Joe Biden will officially become president of the United States when he and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris take their oaths of office on the West Front of the US Capitol. Inauguration Day celebrations will be marked by increased security measures following the January 6 attack on the US Capitol building, and a variety of social distancing precautions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will be sworn in around 12 pm ET on Wednesday.
– President Trump will depart for Florida Wednesday morning following a send-off ceremony at Joint Base Andrews.
