Here is a little piece I’m working on inspired by…
The dark chases away the
Pain from the harsh light of day
Moving stealthily from room to
Dragging the sheets on the cold
Longing, searching for clarity.
The mind is still busy…
Worrying about what’s to come
And what has gone by…
Too scared to say.
Afraid to dare to be happy.
What if I let my mind run
Free to be in a state of calm.
Sleep come to me.
I need you.
I’m tired of running this marathon and placing
Was that thunder?
The clap before a light downpour.
The walls grow moist.
The dank corners hide the shame.
48 hours of longing…
Every second seems like forever.
Sleep, come to me easy.
Come to me slowly…
The plush cover of the cloak of night.
Save the fight.
Calmness, then the fall..
