#DivorceCourt DUMPS #LynnToler! #FaithJenkins takes the bench! [Details]

Well it appears that ‘Divorce Court’ has DUMPED Lynn Toler in favor of Faith

The show, which has been shot at Tyler Perry Studios the past two seasons, will move to Georgia Public Broadcasting studios for season 21 in 2020-21.

“We are confident that Judge Faith’s energy and passion for each case will build on the legacy of this program created by the exceptional talents of Judge Mablean and Judge Lynn Toler,” said Stephen Brown, executive vice president of programming for Fox Television Studios.

In Atlanta, the show airs at 3 p.m. weekdays on Fox 5 (WAGA-TV).

Toler has presided over the show since 2006. The most recent incarnation started in 1999 with Mablean Ephriam.

Jenkins, a New York-based attorney, led her own syndicated judge show “Judge Faith” from 2014 to 2018. She has provided legal commentary for all three major cable news networks over the years.

“I started watching ‘Divorce Court’ in law school, so to be now joining the show is quite surreal,” Jenkins said in a press release. “My legal expertise combined with my personal life experience – including years of dating in the world of social media and technology – provides me a unique perspective that will inform my empathy and judgment for many of the issues couples raise on the show.”

Georgia Public Broadcasting is home to three other syndicated legal shows: “Lauren Lake’s Paternity Court,” “Couples Court With the Cutlers” and the newest “Personal Injury Court” (which is actually scripted to a degree.)[AJC.com]

No word on what caused the change, but we will keep an eye on this story….
