IF you watched the BET awards this weekend, you may have seen the IMPACTFUL commercial for Netflix.

In a new video from its Strong Black Lead arm, Netflix is spotlighting its black talent, this time having them come together for a moment inspired by the 1958’s legendary A Great Day In Harlem.

This is what Netflix says of the new campaign:
Our vision was to bring together Black creatives and icons in Hollywood for a once-in-a-lifetime moment. This seemingly impossible dream soon became a reality, when 47 phenomenal talent from 20+ Netflix original shows, films and documentaries agreed to come together and create A Great Day in Hollywood.

It was photographed by Kwaku Alston and directed by Lacey Duke.

“It was a pretty magical couple of hours. All these amazingly talented, beautiful individuals in one space being supportive and just looking stunning together, all here to pull off this one take wonder! Alfre Woodard even lead everyone in an epic rendition of ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ before we started shooting. It was beautiful, and in a flash it was over. It was probably the most overwhelming two hours of my career haha. I was just so happy to be a part of history,” said Lacey Duke.

Watch the end result. The video is narrated by Caleb McLaughlin from Stranger Things:
