#DonaldGlover promises more ‘women-centric’ episodes for #AtlantaFX season 3! [details]

It’s all about the WOMEN.. let’s FACE it, it’s ALWAYS been about the WOMEN.. just glad that The Glover brothers are TAKING notice.  When Donald Glover was asked recently about what we can expect from season 3 of his HIT show, ‘Atlanta;, he hinted at themes centered more around the WOMEN.  He likened his SHOW to the process that Kanye West USED to drop albums.. he is calling season three his ‘Graduation’!  Here is what he had to say about what to expect for SEASON 3….

“I align the seasons I think, to me, like Kanye records,” he said during the Atlanta Emmys FYC screening and panel last Friday according to IndieWire. “I feel like this is our ‘Graduation.’ This is probably our most accessible but also the realest–an honest version of it–and I feel like the most enjoyable, like the third album.”

“We were all on iMessage together and kind of talking about it, and I think people were really hungry to…beat ourselves, which is great,” he said.

There will also be more women-focused stories, something Atlanta and Deadpool 2 actress Zazie Beetz, who plays Van in the series, talked about to The Hollywood Reporter.

“It was so fun having this girl vibe,” Beetz said about the Season 2 episode “Champagne Papi,” which was the season’s only female-centric episode. “There’s no lack on the set, but I think in terms of storytelling it is different just like bonding with a woman and playing with that energy in terms of Van’s character. So it is something I would like to continue exploring.”

“I think we have some cool ideas in season three that’ll put some more women on screen,” said Stephen Glover, a writer/producer of Atlanta and Glover’s younger brother. “There’s a very specific perspective from the Atlanta woman that I think we’re gonna explore in season three.”

No word on when ‘Atlanta’ will return, but when we find out, we will let you know of course!
