It appears that Meek Mill’s time in prison has SOFTENED his take on is ‘frenemie’ Drake. The two have FAMOUSLY been soft BEEFING for a while, but in a recent posting, Meek may be ready to DROP the old beef and move on. Rapping over Biggie’s classic, ‘What’s Beef’, Meek raps:
Is we beefin’ or rappin’? / I might just pop up with Drizzy,” raps Meek while holding his Dreamchasers chain.
If you recall, before the two were ‘beefing’ they actually were friendly–collaborating on songs together. In a recent interview, Meek Mill left the DOOR open for reconciliation and a possible COLLAB down the line.
He told Ebro of Hot 97.5: “It’s possible. Everything is possible. “I ain’t got no hate towards him and I don’t believe he got hate towards me. When I was in the situation, I seen in the media…he said ‘Free Meek Mill.’ That was when I’m at my down point, where I don’t really got anything going with music. A lot of people can say, ‘He wants to attach with what’s going on.’ I don’t really care about that. Before we had a little rap issue, I knew him as a person, and he supported.”
Drake has also shown signs he is ready to be done with the ‘beef’ as well. On his ‘Boy Meets World’ tour stop in Australia, Drizzy acknowledged a fan who was wearing a “Free Meek Mill” shirt. “I see you got the ‘Free Meek Mill’ T-shirt,” he said. “Free Meek Mill, too, man. For real. You right.”
I mean it’s only RIGHT. Drake annihilated him in their BEEF and even got a Grammy nod for the DISS track, so the BATTLE was WON, so they may as well pick up the pieces and move forward with it, right? If JAY-Z and Nas can do it, I see it for these two.
